2008 Conference Updates

THE FINAL PROGRAM IS NOW AVAILABLE

Airport Transportation will be provided by Dearborn Transportation Services.
Prices are:
$49 per Sedan (1-4 people)
$12 per person for a van shuttle (more than 4 people)
Provide: Name, Airline and Flight Number, Arrival Time, Departure Time, Number of People, Cell Phone, and Group Name (NCGE).

At the airport, go to the baggage claim area and look for a driver holding a NCGE sign.

Canada Field Trip Participants---Remember Your Passports!

The following Field Trips are Cancelled:
Detroit's Immigrants: Past and Present, Saturday, October 11
Detroit's Downtown Renaissance, Sunday, October 12
Glacial Geography, Saturday, October 11

FIELD TRIP CHANGES
The Auto Heritage Tour has been modified and the price has been reduced to $60.
The Downtown Detroit field trip on Thursday will depart at 12:00 P.M. instead of 1:00 P.M.
The Arab Americans in Dearborn field trip on Saturday will depart at 9:30 A.M instead of 9:00 A.M.

The National Council for Geographic Education works to enhance the status and quality of geography teaching and learning. To meet its mission, the NCGE:
  • Promotes the importance and value of geographic education;
  • Enhances the preparation of geographic educators with respect to their knowledge of content, techniques, and learning processes;
  • Facilitates communication among teachers of geography;
  • Encourages and supports research on geographic education;
  • Develops, publishes, and promotes the use of curriculum, resource, and learning materials;
  • Cooperates with other organizations that have similar goals.
